Ante-natal care
Routine ante-natal care is free to all patients of the practice under the Mother and Infant care scheme. This entitles mothers to 6 antenatal and 2 post natal visits free of charge. Please note visits not linked to ante-natal care will incur a fee (if applicable) Further details available on request.
Cervical screening
Cervical screening is available at the practice through Cervical Check, the national cervical screening programme. Smear tests are free to all women aged 25 to 60. Log on to www.cervicalcheck.ie to register. Alternatively, phone 1800 45 45 55. Please bring your invitation letter and your PPS number to your appointment.
Routine childhood immunisation
All childhood vaccinations (with the exception of BCG) are given at the surgery. Appointments can be arranged with our nurses.
Health screening
Well man/well woman health checks available. Please contact reception for details. These generally include a physical examination, fasting bloods and ECG if required.
Influenza & pneumonia vaccines
All patients over 65 plus patients in at risks groups i.e. diabetes, chronic respiratory problems, ischaemic heart disease need yearly flu vaccines.Clinics start in September. Flu vaccine clinics generally run for 3 months. Private patients will incur a fee for flu vaccine administration.
Minor surgery
The practice offers a wide variety of minor surgical services i.e. mole removal, excision of cysts, joint injections and cautery of other skin lesions. Nurses hold a cryotherapy clinic every Wednesday for warts, verrucae etc. Appropriate referrals for specialist opinions can also be arranged if required.
Full contraceptive service
All doctors working in the surgery are able to provide contraceptive advice. This will include advice on various types and suitability. This includes enhanced services such as Mirena Coil insertion, Implanon insertion and counselling for vasectomy. Details available upon request.
